Missing Pet Partnership is a grassroots, national, non-profit organization that relies on volunteers and supporters of all types in order to function. There’s an opportunity for everyone who is interested in lost pet recovery: the pet owner who found help and hope through our website; the shelter worker looking for ways to lower euthanasia rates in his or her shelter; the pet foster parent looking for ways to calm and ensure their new charge does not get lost; and most of all, the people who care about animals! So whatever your reasons for being interested in lost pet recovery, please consider getting involved with Missing Pet Partnership! Opportunities range from simply making a donation, to joining our board of directors, with a host of opportunities in between that offer help to the families and pets that rely upon MPP’s resources each and every day.
What does getting involved look like for you? It may be joining one of our exciting volunteer committees, joining our board of directors, helping to shape and create our training and educational programs, working on outreach programs to help shelters across the country, manning the phones as a Lost Pet Consultant, working on the social media teams that monitor Facebook and Twitter feeds, or tallying donations and balancing the books at the end of the month. You may have heard us state several times that we are an all-volunteer organization–and it’s true. We work very hard to bring education, training, and programs to individuals, shelter workers, and animal welfare organizations interested in lost pet recovery. However, we could not do any of this work without YOU! We are thrilled when people inquire about ways they can help MPP, and here are just a few ideas to get you started.
Missing Pet Partnership is always on the lookout for talented, energetic volunteers who are passionate about lost pet recovery. We have many opportunities that allow you to work from home or in your community. We are accepting applications for a variety of positions, which you may view on our Volunteer page. Please fill out the contact form, indicate the area of lost pet recovery that interests you, and someone from our team will contact you for a phone interview.
Are you interested in helping shape the future of lost pet recovery? We are actively seeking volunteers with an education background to help us redesign our Missing Animal Response technician online training course. To receive updates on when this new training will available, visit our Training page, and subscribe to our newsletter by entering your e-mail address into the “Subscribe to Our Newsletter” field on the right. If you would like to volunteer on the Education committee, please visit our Volunteer page and indicate in your message that you are interested in our education and training initiatives.
If the advice and support that you received from our Missing Animal Response technicians, our volunteers, or our website was helpful to you, please consider sending a donation to Missing Pet Partnership so that we can continue to educate the public and animal welfare organizations about lost pet recovery techniques, and achieve our mission to reunite families with their lost pets. Don’t forget, since we are a non-profit organization your donations are tax deductible! Donations may be made via PayPal on our Donate page, or you may mail a check to the following address:
