Target Cat Cheeto BEGS You to Support MPP!
The current economy has dramatically affected Missing Pet Partnership and our efforts to recover lost pets. The more equipment and supplies that we receive, the more missing pets we can recover and save from starvation, injury, or death. Here is a list of equipment that MPP currently needs for our efforts to recover lost companion animals in King County (near Seattle, WA). If you live outside of this area, your donation will help us develop our model program that we plan to develop through partnerships with animal shelters across the USA. Window Markers: We need to supply our volunteers and pet owners with a total of FOUR different (orange, blue, pink, green, and/or yellow) 1/2" wide tip "Neon Car Glass Markers" made by Neoplex. Each Neoplex marker costs $6.99 each and are not available in most stores! They can be found in some police uniform / supply stores or on-line at http://www.neoplexonline.com/waterproof-neon-fluorescent-marker-broad/ . Ordering 4 markers (1 orange, 1 blue, 1 pink, and 1 yellow) will cost approx $27.96 plus shipping and taxes.
MPP will ONLY use the Neoplex brand because our testing of 4 different brands of window markers showed that the Neoplex brand is truly waterproof (in the above photo where we sprayed water to test the markers, the Neoplex brand is the orange paint). One of the other popular and cheaper brands will completely melt in the rain, as evidence by the below photograph! Please only send MPP "Neon Car Glass Markers" made by Neoplex!
Digital Wildlife Camera: We need at least 8 more digital wildlife cameras that we use (in conjunction with feeding stations) to confirm the presence of displaced, panicked cats and dogs. Once we confirm the lost pet is in the area, then we set up a humane trap to capture them. The cameras that we need are the Moultrie 4MP Game Spy I-40 Infrared Digital Game Camera. ACES Magnum Net: MPP Model 3641K, ACES Magnum Net is an extra heavy duty net with a handle that extends to 96" capable of capturing an animal up to 60 lbs. Snappy Snares: MPP needs 8 of these dog capturing devices. Our pet detectives carry this device in their car so they can utilize it whenever they come across a loose dog that refuses to come to them. SPOT Distress Satellite Beacon: We need a device when tracking lost dogs deep in the woods that we can use to call for assistance should our pet detectives become injured or lost. The SPOT Satellite Messenger uses a GPS receiver and Global Star transmitter to emit a signal to authorities (providing a precise location) that an emergency has occurred. Trackstick Mini GPS Tracker: Aid for training trailing dogs. A target dog handler can carry this pocket size device to record his or her exact path. After the trail is laid, the trailing dog handler could view the exact path taken in order to give corrections to the dog along the way. $289.99 from www.trackstick.com/
True Catch Small Humane Cat Trap: We need fifteen smaller sized humane traps to capture displaced cats. We need the True Catch model only (please), size 30-D (Dimensions: 30" x 9" x 11"). Please do not attempt to donate store-bought traps. Yes they are cheaper, but we've had them malfunction on several cases. True Catch Larger Cat / Small Dog Trap: We need five larger sized humane cat traps (for pudgy cats and small dogs) to capture displaced cats and skittish small dogs.
