Target Cat Cheeto BEGS You to Support MPP!

The current economy has dramatically affected Missing Pet Partnership and our efforts to recover lost pets. The more equipment and supplies that we receive, the more missing pets we can recover and save from starvation, injury, or death. Here is a list of equipment that MPP currently needs for our efforts to recover lost companion animals in King County (near Seattle, WA). If you live outside of this area, your donation will help us develop our model program that we plan to develop through partnerships with animal shelters across the USA. All donations are tax deductible and these products can be purchased and shipped directly to:

Here are the items that MPP needs and the links on where you can buy them:

ACES Magnum Net: MPP Model 3641K, ACES Magnum Net is an extra heavy duty net with a handle that extends to 96” capable of capturing an animal up to 60 lbs. We need this to capture cats and small dogs that we manage to corner but that won’t come to us - available through ACES for $139.00. Order at http://www.animal-care.com/nets_launchers.aspx

Cat Transport Bags: MPP needs three of these transport bags (one for each of our teams) used to transport cats that we capture by hand. Known as the “Freeman Zip N Go” Model # FZG-2 (30” X 30” size), you can order these for $34.00 through ACES at http://www.animal-care.com/fzg-2.aspx

Feral Cat Gloves: MPP needs six pairs (3 medium and 3 large) of feral cat gloves to protect our pet detectives when handling panicked cats that we retrieve. The medium size can be ordered for $79.99 at http://www.animal-care.com/cwg-m.aspx and the large size can be ordered for $79.99 at http://www.animal-care.com/cwg-l.aspx

True Catch Humane Cat Traps: MPP needs 30 (10 for each of our three teams) True Catch model 36D “Raccoon Trap w/rear door (36X12X14) – available through ACES for $75.00 (plus s & h). Order at http://www.animal-care.com/36d.aspx

True Catch Humane Dog Traps: MPP needs 3 (1 for each of our three teams) of these large traps that we will use to trap hard-to-catch skittish dogs. We need the True Catch model 48HD “Large Dog Trap w/rear door” (48X20X26) – available through ACES for $215.00. Order at http://www.animal-care.com/48hd.aspx

True Catch Giant Humane Trap: We need just one of these extra large traps in the event we need to trap a very large (Dane, St. Bernard, etc.) that will not fit into the standard (48-inch) dog trap. We need the True Catch model 60HD “X-Large Dog Trap w/rear door” (60X22X28) available through ACES for $315.00. Order at http://www.animal-care.com/60hd.aspx

Large Remote Controlled Wildlife Drop Net: Okay, we know this is asking for a miracle, but one of our dream devices would be to have a giant wildlife drop net that we could use to capture dogs that refuse to enter a humane trap. This system was successfully used to capture the elusive "Golden Ghost," a skittish Golden Retriever named Sam who remained loose for two years until he was finally captured by one of these drop nets. The device is a remote controlled Wildlife Drop Net, 25’ X 25’ suspended on poles with magnets and dropped via a remote control device. Get ready, the cost is $4,750.00 (plus s & h) and it’s available through Wildlife Capture at http://wildlifecapture.com/Drop-Net_1.html

Snappy Snares: MPP needs 90 (one for every member of our MAR team) of these dog capturing devices. Every one of our pet detectives will carry this device in their car so they can utilize it whenever they come across a loose dog that refuses to come to them. We need the 65” Stainless Steel Snappy Snare available through ACES for $79.95 (the non-stainless steel version will break). Order at http://www.animal-care.com/ss-65s.aspx

TV/VCR combo: We need new (or used) 13” color TV/VCR combo units which we use to conduct surveillance on hard to catch dogs and cats. If you have one of these, chances are it is an analog broadcast TV that would require a converter box. If you aren’t using it, why not donate it to a good cause? Or you can purchase a new one at http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=2601193 and have it shipped to MPP. It seems this model isn't available anymore, but we would accept a comparable model.

Nanny Cam: We need surveillance cameras to help monitor (and ultimately capture) elusive, skittish dogs and cats. We use the Lorex brand Indoor/Outdoor Color Mini Security Camera, Model #SG61825. They have indoor/outdoor use, night vision, and audio. They are available at Radio Shack for $39.99. Order at http://www.radioshack.com/sm-buy-the-lorex-indoor-outdoor-mini-color-camera-with-night--pi-3077066.html

Digital Wildlife Camera: For the cases where we do not have access to power (in which case we’d use a Nanny cam), we need motion sensitive digital wildlife cameras so we can confirm an elusive pet (dog or cat) is present in an area prior to live surveillance or humane trapping efforts. We need six (two for each of our three teams) Bushnell Trail Sentry 4.0 Digital Trail Cameras ($114.95 each) found at http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/544310-REG/Bushnell_119204B_2_4_MP_Birding.html

Night Vision Goggles: We could seriously use a pair of night vision goggles for the times we attempt to capture an animal at night in pitch dark. The goggles allow hands free movement, which is critical if we are going to attempt to use a magnet dog with a snappy snare in pitch dark. We'd love to get the Rigel 3200 Pro Night Vision Goggles which cost $689.00. http://www.nightvisionbinoculars.com/rigel3200.html

SPOT Distress Satellite Beacon: We need a device when tracking lost dogs deep in the woods that we can use to call for assistance should our pet detectives become injured or lost. The SPOT Satellite Messenger uses a GPS receiver and Global Star transmitter to emit a signal to authorities (providing a precise location) that an emergency has occurred. This product costs approx $170.00 and you can order it at http://stores.homestead.com/hstrial-RHawes/-strse-131253/SPOT-SATELLITE-PERSONAL-/Detail.bok

Infrared Illuminator: For cases where nighttime surveillance is required we need an infrared illuminator to supplement the night vision capabilities of the nanny cam. The infrared illuminator acts as an invisible floodlight, thus increasing the effective viewing range and clarity of video and images from the nanny cam. This product costs approximately $60. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000OQ9FI8
