Please accept my personal thanks for supporting Missing Pet Partnership (MPP) with your donation. Here’s what MPP was able to accomplish thanks to your support:
- Since 2005, MPP has offered Missing Animal Response training where we’ve trained both volunteer and professional pet detectives to offer lost pet services in communities across the North America. In 2015, we plan to expand this training program to include several training webinars designed to educate shelter workers and rescue group volunteers in how to recover lost pets.
- MPP continued our partnership with the Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC) Shelter where we assisted animal shelter volunteers in Kent, WA (trained in MPP\’s lost pet recovery techniques) to help recover lost pets during 4th of July fireworks.
- In 2014 our volunteer “Lost Pet Consultants” logged over three hundred cases in which people called our volunteer line asking for lost pet assistance. With no staff and only volunteers to do this work, we kept quite busy trying to help recover as many lost pets as we could. In most cases we simply consulted with the pet owner, offering free assistance over the phone.
- Our website (www.missingpetpartnership.org) which is now linked to by many animal shelter websites also helped hundreds of people recover their lost dogs and cats. An example of this is a recent testimonial we received from Megan Downs from Kingsville, TX who wrote:
“Thank you so much for your informative website. I had my first scare when my boxer was spooked by fireworks and darted out of sight. I read all the info on your website and made an exact replica of the signs you suggest with her info. It worked in less than 10 minutes. We didn’t even get the 4th sign hung up and our phone was ringing.”
Missing Pet Partnership’s mission is to reunite lost companion animals with their families. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, so your contribution is tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.
